Mahindra Electric has unveiled the all-new 4-door variant of its popular e2o electric car, the 'e2o Plus'. With the prices ranging from INR 5.46 Lakhs to INR 8.46 Lakhs, the smart city car will be available in 4 trims levels - P2 (only for commercial), P4, P6, and P8. All prices are ex-showroom Delhi including FAME incentive and other state subsidies.
Design wise, the e2o Plus present a recognisable distinctiveness as against the 2-door e2o, apart from the additional pair of rear doors. The new styling elements includes a new vertical slat grille, projector-type headlamps that sweep-out side wards (akin to KUV100), taller-looking bumpers, a redesigned window line, and a funky rear profile with LED-treated tail lamps and dark-tone pane below the windshield. The rear door's handle are placed vertically (again similar to KUV100), while the wheelbase has been extended as well.
Moving on the inside, the cabin of the e2o Plus is largely the same as the regular e2o. Top-end P6 and P8 variants get dual-tone beige-black interiors along with a standard Blaupunkt touchscreen infotainment system. The all-digital instrument cluster and the smartphone connectivity feature is also the same as before.

This time there are two powertrains on offer. The P2, P4, and P6 variants are powered by a 48V Lithium-ion battery pack that drives a 19 kW electric motor, with 0-60 kmph acceleration in 14.1 seconds and max speed of 80 kmph. The full-charge driving range of this powertrain is 110 km, with 6 hours of recharging duration using a standard 16 Amp plug. While the top-spec P8 variant is equipped with a much-capable 30kW motor run by a larger 72V battery pack, with 0-60 kmph sprint in just 9.5 seconds and a claimed top speed of 85 kmph.

The P2 and P8 (top-end) variants alone come with fast-charging feature that can recuperate battery in just 1.5 hours. The 'REVive' option in all variants can fetch you an extra 5-10 km driving once you run out of charge. Other key technologies includes Hill Assist and reverse parking camera, not to forget the class-defining Regenerative Braking.
