Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro Launched @ INR 17.44 Lakhs

Ducati's flagship adventure touring motorcycle - Multistrada 1200 Enduro - is now on sale in India for a starting price of INR 17.44 Lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi NCR. In an otherwise cruiser line-up of Ducati's stable, this bike is the brand's first off-road focused model designed to take the rider beyond the tarmac. Moreover, the Enduro is the fourth variant of the Multistrada 1200 series in India, and is around Rs. 80,000 expensive than the 1200 S tourer. Worth the price, the Enduro is packed with the far-famed riding style of Ducati, ride comfort, and class-leading technology.

Powered by a 1198.4cc Ducati Testastretta DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing) L-twin engine that generates a maximum output of 58bhp at 9500rpm and 136Nm of torque at 7500rpm, the Enduro is uses 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels, semi-active electronic front and rear Sachs suspension, and a whooping 200 mm wheel travel from the suspension - all aiding the bike's off-road aspirations along with retained on-road abilities. The liquid-cooled engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Further, the bike boasts a 30-litre fuel tank that extends the driving range to 450 kms, so that adventure-lovers need not think twice before taking on less-traveled roads.

Starting with the full-LED headlamp with Cornering Lights, and full-TFT info-graphic display, the Enduro edition is also equipped with cruise control, Hands-free ignition, back-lit handlebar switches, and Vehicle Hold Control system.

The bike also comes with four riding modes - Sport, Touring, Urban and Enduro, along with a host of active and passive rider assist technologies such as cornering ABS, Traction Control adjustable through eight levels, Throttle-by-Wire, Wheelie Control system and the Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) semi-active system. The multi-media system in the Multistrada Enduro boasts smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth, along with social networking feature allowing the rider to share travel data.

Ducati sells select models of all five international product line-ups in the Indian market - Diavel, Hypermotard, Monster, Multistrada, Superbike Panigale, and Scrambler - via its exclusive dealerships at Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru.
