Unveiled at the 2014 Los Angeles Motor show, this car is the first of the Audi's Prologue series of cars that are still in the conceptual stage. The company sources say that the concept will influence the design and development of the next-generation A6 and A8 executive saloons. The car holds a 4.8-litre bi-turbo V8 engine that pumps out 605 hp and 700 Nm of maximum torque. Just like the crazy NFS computer games, there is an 'over-boost' mode which the driver can enable for 15 seconds to realise as enriched torque of 750 Nm. The car in normal mode can clock 0-100 kmph in just 3.7 seconds, which an acclaimed mileage of 11.62 kms per litre of petrol.

In terms of design, the Audi Prologue concept renders a smooth flowing, graceful shape in a flashy and taut design. The design language involves too many angular lines, giving it a futuristic-kind of look. The concept is a bit shorter than the present-day A8, with an overall length of 5.10 metres, wheelbase of 2.94 metres, width of 1.95 metres and height of 1.39 metres. Up front, the larger and wider radiator grille along with the slim and flat-wedged LED head lights and contoured bumper dominates one's attention. The cross bars on the grille have a finely structured diamond pattern and their ends are split - gives a 3D-like impression at close inspection.

The side profile of the Prologue concept expresses a lowing silhouette, neatly integrated with the 22-inch wheels and their widely flared wheel arches. The wheel's ten intertwining Y-spokes again render a 3D-like image. The doors, fenders, and side panels present curved muscular surfaces, while the rear styling breaks all conventions thanks to the eccentric LED rear lights and glossy black aluminum diffuser with exhaust tail-pipes at the rear bumper.

Audi did not reveal the interiors of the Prologue at the show, but we have already seen them in pictures several times and they are luxurious-looking and innovative. We have also noted a generous interior space, along with the virtual cockpit technology.
