The newly-launched Gixxer SF Fi, on the other hand, replaces the engine's carburetor with a micro-processor based fuel injection system. Despite that, the output is identical to the carburetted variants, but may score better in terms of fuel efficiency, throttle response, and better start-up in all weather conditions. The SF Fi is available only in the MotoGP Edition featuring exterior decals and paint jobs mimicking Suzuki’s MotoGP racer bikes. As of now, the Gixxer SF Fuel Injected is limited to select dealerships at Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata, Kochi, Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
