facelift CLA
Mercedes has come up with the new face-lifted CLA that is due to be unveiled at the upcoming New York Auto Show later this month. The car brings forward revised exterior and interior design elements, along with few new features added to the existing ones. The new CLA will go on sale in Germany this July and little later in the US, while it may take more than an year to reach India as Mercedes India has just launched the pre-facelift CLA last January.

As evident from the official images, the new CLA presents redesigned black diamond radiator grille and bumper elements, along with a new 18-inch multi-spoke alloy pattern. An optional chrome or black strip is now enabled at the rear bumper panel, while the tailpipe panels are now nicely integrated into the bumper. Otherwise, the CLA is all the more same as the previous model, with its distinctive rounded contours and coupe-ish silhouette.

On the inside, styling revisions are again marginal, including the updated upholstery, seats, and trim parts, along with chrome-plated controls. There is also a thin-looking 8-inch free-standing touch-screen infotainment system featuring hands-free access and smart phone connectivity. New interior dual-tone colour themes are also available now.

2017 Mercedes CLA face-lift comes with revised exterior and interior design elements
Just two months back, Mercedes launched the pre-facelift CLA sedan in the Indian market with prices ranging from INR 31.5 lakh (CLA 200 CDI) to INR 35 lakhs (petrol version). The Indian-spec CLA comes with two engine options - a 2.2-litre diesel and a 2.0-litre petrol, both paired to 7-speed '7G-Tronic' automatic transmission. In Western markets, the CLA range is available with a host of engine options including 1.5-litre and 2.1-litre diesels and 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre petrols.

Mercedes CLA range is compact, front-wheel driven, and powered by 4-cylinder engines
The CLA compact tourer sedan is built on the same front-wheel drive platform as the A, B, and GLA Class models, and is atypical to most of the other Mercedes models as the CLA is small, FWD, and boasts four-cylinder engines. The CLA range also includes a high-performance CLA 45 AMG variant as well that comes with exclusive styling and performance package.
