As per the Mercedes's new naming convention, the latest successor to the GLK-Class luxury SUV are now called as the GLC. The car is built on the popular MRA architecture and measures 4,655 mm long, 1,890 mm wide, and 1,638 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,873 mm. Therefore, the new GLC is almost the same size as its predecessor, but is now more modern and integrated with the brand's latest line-up.
Design wise, the GLC brings a blend of the classy sedan and brute off-roader. Up front, the twin louvre grille and neat headlamps give the SUV a neat impression. The side displays a coupe-like glasshouse, along with straight and short character lines on the surface. The lower feature line rises gradually while moving towards the rear that is dominated by the split LED tail lamps and the wide exhaust pipes on the either sides housed at the black-finish lower bumper.

Moving into the cabin, the GLC features dual-tone, flowing-design dashboard that is classy and elegant for a car of this kind. The steering wheel design and the instrument clusters have been tweaked (in reference to the old GLK). The tablet-like standalone display is linked with a touchpad that can recognise hand writing. A panaromic sun-roof is also at one's command with a touch of a button.

Though the engine line-up for the Indian-spec is far from known, the international-spec GLC comes with 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol and diesel motors, in addition to 9G-Tronic transmission and 4MATIC AWD system.
