Mahindra has presented an army of cars at the on-going 2016 Auto Expo, including this customised double-cab Imperio pick-up variant.
Although there are lots of added-up decorations than any major design change, this Imperio presents itself to the league of proper-SUV made personal vehicle category pick-ups that we have seen in the past.
Those exterior styling add-ons that have been made to the regular production vehicle are the chrome-finish bull bar, matt-black finish plastic claddings on the sides over the wheel arches and lower part of the doors, glossy-black 6-spoke alloy wheels, window visors, and a rear-chrome roll-bar with additional fog lamps over the roof. On the inside, there is hardly any difference from the production vehicle, apart from the new seats graphic.
The pick-up truck measures 5,180 mm long, 1,890 mm wide, 1,952 mm high, with a wheelbase of 3,220 mm. Mechanicals wise, the Imperio houses under the hood a 2.5-liter DI diesel engine with Common Rail setup and 'Fuel Smart' Technology. It is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, and delivers 75 hp and 220 Nm of max torque.
