Jaguar brand's first ever SUV - the F-Pace - has been previewed at the 2016 Auto Expo happening in Greater Noida. The luxury crossover is expected to make an Indian launch before end of this year.
Built on Jaguar's new Lightweight Aluminium Architecture, the F-Pace's design and styling is based on the Jaguar C-X17 concept car.

The F-Pace measures 4,731 mm long and has a wheelbase of 2,874 mm. On the sight of it, the car is not tall at all, thanks to the short glasshouse and bloated wheel arches. The bold front grille and the muscular, high hood together with the slender headlamps complete the face of the car. The rear sees the influence of the F-Type in the graphics of the tail lamp clusters and the muscular rear haunches. The rear screen stands in a rakish angle, while the sleek roofline and short front overhang gives the car an elegant silhouette. The fender vents on the sides are again from the F-Type. But what really makes the difference in styling is the large diameter 22-inch wheels and the complementary wheel arches.

On the inside, the F-Pace is nothing but a luxury statement. Although the dashboard layout and the interior tones appears familiar and nothing new, the quality of the materials used and the feel is phenomenal. The driving position is more of car-like, and so the designers have not compromised much of driving comfort and passenger contentment for the sake of an SUV.
The all-aluminium platform that underpins the F-Pace is also used by the new XE and XF sedans. While the chassis technicals are from the F-Type range, that's why you also get features like torque vectoring system and an electronic-assisted power steering.
