The Urban Cross is merely a cosmetic make-over that has brought radical design changes to the routine Avventura. Concepts like this one are primarily intended to make a design statement, and the auto expo is the right place to exhibit such out-of-the-box (or quirky!!) experiments. It is powered by the same 1.4-litre T-Jet petrol engine as the regular Avventura.

The model features a new exterior color, redesigned front and rear bumpers, larger alloy wheels with meaty tyres resulting in increased ground clearance, projector-type and LED optical guide headlamps, new alloy design pattern, silver roof rails, and added body decals . The tail-mounted spare wheel is however missing.
On the inside, the concept boasts sporty seats and tweaked upholstery. There is a touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, aux-in, and satellite navigation. The usual equipments with the Avventura like the compass and inclinometer are also present.
