This is the latest seventh generation Verna and is built on
a completely new platform that took Hyundai around five years and Rs.810 crore
to perfect. The new Verna looks impressive sporting the Hyundai’s new ‘Fluidic
Sculpture’ design which is a mix of sharply sculpted and flowing lines.
Do not miss out the L-shaped fog lamps and ‘power bulge’ on
the hood! The car looks great in the side profile as well. The swooping
roofline and sharply raked C-pillar give a coupe-like profile to the Verna.
The interior isn’t as exciting as the exterior design but
looks good. The smiling fact is that the Indian Verna will be offered with four
engine options – two each of petrol and diesel. And none of these engines are
carried over from the existing Verna.
One can expect the Hyundai’s latest Gamma petrol and U2
diesel engines under the hood. Hyundai may bring this new Verna latter this
year and will be a serious nightmare for the others in the class.
