Mahindra e2o Plus Electric 4-door Is Ready: Bigger and Spacious

The all-new Mahindra e2o Plus 4-door electric is ready for launch, expectedly in the festive season before the end of this year. The company has released a couple of teaser images of the much-awaited car recently, being christened as "e2o Plus". The 'plus' tag means the positive role the car will make in the lives of customers, adds the home-grown company that is on a blatant spree of bringing in more electric cars to its stable including eVerito sedan and the just-launched Mahindra eSupro van

Predominantly based on the existing e2o 2-door car, the new e2o Plus is likely to sport refreshed front grille design while a larger and elongated body means spacious cabin and legroom, adding to the practicality of 4-doors. The official teaser images are hazy, but expect the car's overall design and silhouette to be largely unchanged. The features and equipment list of the 2-door car that includes 'My Car' touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, an all-digital instrument cluster and remote-controlled air-conditioning are to be carried over to the new car as well in all probability.

The e2o Plus may also see similar performance, thanks to the carried-over 13.9 kWh battery pack and a 19 kW electric motor producing 25.5 hp and 53.9 Nm of torque. The driving range and top speed may see a hike but not too much, while the charging time may also see a slight dip. The existing 2-door e2o boasts a range of around 120 kms, with a max speed of 81 kmph.

Mahindra e2o Plus is expected with a marginal increase in driving range and top speed.
Mahindra believes that the 4-door e2o Plus is capable of attracting more buyers with the its enhanced practicality, something that can elevate this zero-emission, eco-friendly vehicle into a lifestyle family car. The new electric car will also be ready for export markets in the months to come, especially the UK.
