2017 Suzuki GSX-R 125 Revealed: Tiniest Spec In GSX-R Series

At the 2016 INTERMOT in Cologne, Germany, Suzuki Motor Corporation has unveiled the all-new GSX-R 125 - the motorcycle with smallest displacement in the GSX-R series since its inception 32 years ago. The new bike will go on sale by summer next year in global markets, while its Indian launch is in obvious limbo.

Targeting beginners and young riders in developing markets, the GSX-R 125 is powered by an all-new 125 cc single cylinder 4-valve DOHC water-cooled engine. The company claims that the bike features optimum power-to-weight ratio and torque-to-weight ratio, while its acceleration, handling and fuel efficiency are class leading. The bike may not win over the Aprilia RS4 125 or Yamaha YZF-R 125 in terms of performance, but the package seems appealing at a relatively lower price point.

2017 Suzuki GSX-R 125 is unlikely to be launched in India, since it may cannibalise the sales of Gixxer 150 cc models
Styling is the stronghold of GSX-R 125, its sporty bodywork inspired from the GSX-R family is topnotch. In fact, the Suzuki Racing blue paint job is something similar to the company's latest Indian offering - Gixxer SF. While the LED headlamp, all-LCD instrument cluster, and key-less ignition will certainly attract buyers attention. ABS braking is also standard on both the wheels.
